I kept seeing these end grain cutting boards all over social media, and I wanted to try a couple of my own. After some trial and error, I figured out that a more intentional glue-up process between each cut of the pieces would result in a cleaner and flatter result. But, they are still functional! I finished these in a wood safe oil called Wood Honey, which brings out the color really well too.

This is a cutting board I made with maple, purpleheart, bocote, and padauk woods! I was able to get a clean roundover on the edges, and I’m hoping the hardwood holds for a while!

This cutting board was made with maple and purpleheart wood strips. This was a pleasure to make for the newlyweds, Garrett and Lynde!

This is a live edge walnut slab I made into a cutting board. While the shape didn’t change much, this one was fun to try to hand plane and sand to get level on both sides, hopefully it’ll last a good while!
